SpaceX postpones Starship test launch due to ground system problem

About 30 minutes before launch, space exploration corporation SpaceX had to decide to "stop the 10th flight of Starship to fix a problem on the ground system."

On August 24, billionaire Elon Musk's space exploration corporation SpaceX canceled the launch of the Starship spacecraft due to an incident at the launch site in Texas, thereby delaying efforts to achieve new development milestones after previous failed tests.

The 70.7m-tall Super Heavy rocket and the 52m-tall Starship were stacked on the launch pad at SpaceX's Starbase rocket facility to be fueled before liftoff, scheduled for 7:35 p.m. Eastern Time on August 24 in the US (6:35 a.m. on August 25 in Vietnam).

However, about 30 minutes before launch, SpaceX had to decide to "stop the 10th flight of Starship to fix a problem on the ground system."

SpaceX has not yet said when the next launch will be held, but previous postponements have typically resumed after just a few days.

SpaceX is developing the next generation of rockets, one of the focuses of the space launch program to realize billionaire Elon Musk's ambition to conquer Mars. However, this program has encountered continuous problems this year, making SpaceX unable to carry out the plan.

SpaceX's latest version of the launch vehicle is said to have advanced features such as increased thrust, a more resilient heat shield and stronger fins to ensure atmospheric re-entry, which are key to the rapid reusability of Starship that billionaire Musk has long pushed for.

Previously, the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) expected to be able to use Starship as early as 2027 to serve the first manned flight to the Moon since the Apollo program./.
