On October 5, at Truc Lam Palace - Yen Tu historical relic and scenic area, Yen Tu Ward People's Committee coordinated with the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Quang Ninh province, the Journalists Association and the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, the Relic Management Board, Tung Lam Development Joint Stock Company to organize the opening ceremony of Yen Tu Autumn Festival 2025 with the theme "Autumn Meditation Colors."

This is the first major activity after the Yen Tu-Vinh Nghiem-Con Son-Kiep Bac relic complex was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage in July 2025.

Mr. Pham Xuan Thanh, Vice Chairman of Yen Tu Ward People's Committee, affirmed that the festival is an action to concretize the Resolution of the Ward Party Committee on heritage economic development, demonstrating the determination to implement the motto "Proud of heritage - Living with heritage - Enriching from heritage." The festival aims to turn Yen Tu into a leading national tourist center, striving to welcome 1.5 million visitors/year by 2030 and achieve tourism revenue of over 1,000 billion VND.

Mr. Pham Xuan Thanh emphasized that the Festival lasting until the end of December 2025 is an important first step for Yen Tu to form the brand of "4-season tourism" and "Heritage economy - Sustainable development."

In the sacred atmosphere towards the 717th anniversary of the Buddha King Tran Nhan Tong's Nirvana, right at the opening ceremony, delegates and visitors experienced special activities such as: National peace and security prayer ceremony and art program honoring heritage values; Awarding the contest for creating the Yen Tu ward brand identity (Logo); Launching the VR360 digital tourism product about the relic complex with tours to experience "Dawn on top of Dong Pagoda," tea meditation, walking meditation; Displaying many photographic and painting works about Yen Tu with the cultural space of the Dao Thanh Y's farming village and vegetarian cuisine.

The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Tu Ward also informed about the series of large-scale cultural-sports-tourism activities that will continuously take place from now until the end of the year, contributing to promoting the local cultural industry.

On October 5, many Buddhists and tourists departed at 3 a.m. at the foot of the mountain to join the tour "Welcoming the sunrise on top of Dong Pagoda" (Yen Tu).

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Van (Hoanh Bo ward, Quang Ninh) shared that the journey to climb the sacred Yen Tu mountain in the mist to be at Dong pagoda in the early morning was an unforgettable experience. When the first rays of dawn pierced the sea of clouds, standing on the top of the mountain, I felt the sacredness and my heart was extremely pure. It was not only conquering the height, surpassing myself, but also a moment of "Autumn colors meditation" true to the festival theme, helping me understand more clearly the spirit of self-reliance and Truc Lam Buddhism that King Tran Nhan Tong left behind.

Yen Tu Autumn Festival 2025 - "Autumn Meditation" is not only a major cultural and tourism event but also a strong message about the determination to carry out the core tasks and breakthroughs of the Resolution of the 16th Quang Ninh Provincial Party Congress on cultural development associated with heritage economy./.
