Division 304 helps people overcome flood consequences

On the morning of October 11, forces and vehicles of units of Division 304 (Military Region 2) were still working side by side with the Party Committee and government of Binh Nguyen commune, Phu Tho province, to help people in flooded areas overcome damage.

The large amount of water flowing from upstream caused the water level of Ca Lo River to rise on October 10, causing deep flooding in many areas in Binh Nguyen commune, seriously affecting the lives of local people. Faced with this situation, Division 304 (Military Region 2) promptly directed units to mobilize forces and means, working closely with local Party committees and authorities to help the people.

Huu Bang village, Binh Nguyen commune has been flooded for many days due to the rising water level of Ca Lo river. As soon as they arrived at the scene on October 10, officers and soldiers of Division 304 coordinated with the local authorities to evacuate people, transport assets, household items and crops to a safe place; at the same time, they supported the supply of necessities to households in the isolated area, helping people to stabilize their lives soon.

On the afternoon of October 10, the road from the village to the main road was deeply flooded and impassable. Division 304 used Kamaz vehicles to transport people through the flooded area and take students to school. After inspecting, directing and encouraging the soldiers to perform their duties, Colonel Dinh Khac Hung, Division Commander of Division 304, praised the spirit of not being afraid of difficulties and actively helping the local government and people respond to natural disasters of the officers and soldiers of the Division.

Colonel Dinh Khac Hung requested the Division's forces to closely coordinate with local Party committees, authorities, police forces and militia to continue to carefully check residential areas, proactively take appropriate response measures; at the same time, approach and support people in isolated areas, not letting people lack food and clothing; ensure absolute safety for people and vehicles during the performance of duties, contributing with the authorities and people to quickly overcome the consequences and stabilize life.
