Models that only sell one car
Ford Explorer officially became the model with the lowest sales in the market in September, with only one car delivered to customers. This situation is explained by the fact that Ford Vietnam has temporarily stopped distributing this large SUV model to prepare for the launch of a new generation or a replacement product. Recorded sales may come from the last cars remaining in stock at the dealer.

Sharing the bottom spot with the Explorer is the Honda Civic Type R, also with one unit sold. This high-performance model has a high price and is imported in limited numbers. Therefore, it is predictable that the Civic Type R is not aimed at mass sales, but rather at building a brand image.

Names waiting to return
Third place on the list belongs to Toyota Innova with 4 cars sold. Similar to Ford Explorer, this MPV model has temporarily stopped selling in Vietnam to make way for the new generation, expected to launch later this year with a hybrid engine option. The number of cars sold are the last remaining at dealers.

The Honda Accord also recorded modest sales with 5 units, escaping the top 3 slowest sellers. This D-class sedan is having difficulties in an increasingly narrow segment, and is facing competitors with newer designs and technology while the selling price remains high.

Challenges from specific vehicle lines
The Suzuki Jimny and Ford Mustang Mach-E both recorded sales of 13 units. The Suzuki Jimny, with its distinctive off-road design and unaffordable price, is seen as more of an enthusiast choice than a mainstream model.

Meanwhile, the Ford Mustang Mach-E is a pure electric SUV with a selling price of over 2 billion VND. This is considered a product that shows off Ford's technology in Vietnam, so low sales are not surprising in the context of an unsynchronized electric vehicle infrastructure.

Competition in the popular segments
The rest of the list is made up of models in familiar segments that are struggling to attract customers. The Isuzu mu-X, a 7-seat SUV, sold only 15 units despite its price ranging from VND928 million to VND1.269 billion.

The Toyota Corolla Altis, a once very successful name, only achieved sales of 17 cars. This C-class sedan is facing fierce competition from rivals with more equipment and more attractive prices. Finally, the Korean duo Kia Soluto and Kia K5 recorded sales of 18 and 19 cars respectively, closing the list of 10 slowest-selling cars in September.
