Natural stream hidden in the middle of Moc Chau town, visitors can play freely without paying any fee

The natural spring in Ban Mon sub-area, Moc Chau town, Son La province has recently become an attractive destination for tourists because of its cool, wild beauty.

According to the locals, this place is popularly called Ban Mon stream. The road to the stream is quite convenient, motorbikes can reach the place.

Visitors can park their vehicles at local people’s homes and walk to the stream or hire a local driver to take them there. The cost is about 50,000 VND.

Quang Kien (local photographer) and his friends went to Ban Mon stream in mid-July. He commented that the stream area is quite large, the space is fresh, and there are many green trees on both banks, providing cool shade.

The spring water is very clear, clean and cool. Visitors can come and experience it freely without having to pay any service fees.

Quang Kien and his friends played at the stream for a few hours, enough to take beautiful pictures and relax.

According to the young man, the best time to visit Ban Mon stream is in the afternoon. At this time, the weather is cool, suitable for visitors to bathe, take check-in photos, camp or watch the sunset.

“Because this is a natural spring, not many tourists know about it, so there are no services or tourism . If you come here for a picnic or camping, you need to prepare things from home, including food, drinks and some essential personal items.

At the same time, remember to clean up the trash before leaving to maintain hygiene, protect the environment and natural landscape," Quang Kien said.

Moc Chau is located about 200km from Hanoi , is the most attractive tourist destination in the North thanks to its cool climate and picturesque natural scenery.

Each season, Moc Chau has its own beauty. In January, the whole town is covered with green tea hills or full of peach, plum and apricot blossoms.

From mid-May, plums in Moc Chau begin to ripen, suitable for tourists to picnic. From August to December every year is the season of ripe persimmons. Of which, the season of crispy persimmons is usually earlier, from August to October, and from October to the end of the year is the season of astringent persimmons.

At the end of the year, visitors to Moc Chau can check in during the white mustard flower season (November) and the bright yellow wild sunflower season across the plateau (December).

The 'staircase' waterfall is more than 100km from Hanoi, visitors come to play and forget the way back. At the foot of the waterfall are layers of water with gentle slopes, looking like terraced fields. After playing and swimming, visitors can rest and stay at some homestays next to the waterfall.
