Principal temporarily suspended for allowing dirty food into school

The People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat ( Lam Dong ) decided to temporarily suspend Ms. Nguyen Thai Quynh Nga, Principal of Trung Vuong Primary School, from work for 15 days. The suspension period starts from September 24.

Ms. Nga was suspended from work to serve the verification and investigation of the case of dirty food entering the boarding school kitchen.

On the same day, the Party Committee's Inspection Committee also deployed a decision and inspection plan due to signs of violations against the Party cell of Trung Vuong Primary School, with Ms. Nguyen Thai Quynh Nga as Secretary.

The People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat assigned Mr. Nguyen Vinh Hien, Head of the Ward's Department of Culture and Society to be in charge of Trung Vuong Primary School during the time Ms. Nga is suspended. Mr. Hien will concurrently perform the duties of Head of the Department of Culture and Society and temporarily manage the activities of Trung Vuong Primary School.

As reported by VietNamNet, many parents and kitchen staff at Trung Vuong Primary School were upset because dirty food had flooded into the boarding kitchen, seriously affecting students' meals. Specifically, during the 2024-2025 school year, the food supplier repeatedly delivered to the school's kitchen: 35kg of smelly, unpackaged, unlabeled frozen beef balls; 60kg of boiled pork that had a green color and a strange smell; 50kg of wet, smelly pre-sliced beef; and 10kg of smelly, green pork bones.

The kitchen staff reported to the principal about the unusual food situation and suggested returning or destroying it to ensure student safety, but the school did not take drastic measures.

Ms. Nga later admitted that poor quality food had entered the kitchen. The principal apologized to the parents of boarding students. The police are investigating the incident.
