Terrorist attack in Israel leaves dozens dead and injured

Initial police assessment said this could be a terrorist attack. According to the latest announcement from Israeli police, 35 people were injured when a truck crashed into a bus stop outside the Glilot base, near Tel Aviv this afternoon.

Initial investigation shows that the truck crashed into the bus station at the same time a bus had just entered the station and was waiting to drop off passengers. The truck driver was shot dead by several armed civilians.

Six of the injured were seriously injured. An earlier statement from Israeli police said it appeared to be a terrorist attack.

Meanwhile, many Arab sources confirmed that at least 5 people were killed and about 50 others were injured in the incident. The truck driver is said to be from East Jerusalem. Notably, Al Arabiya TV channel confirmed that the targets of the attack were Israeli soldiers and that about 20 soldiers were injured.

Regarding the situation on the Lebanese battlefield, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed this afternoon that four more soldiers and officers were killed in a fierce battle with Hezbollah gunmen in southern Lebanon on the night of October 26.

The IDF statement did not provide details of the fighting, but said the incident was serious. In addition to the four soldiers killed, 14 others were injured, including five in critical condition. Three Hezbollah fighters were eliminated from the fighting.

The Lebanese armed group has not commented on the incident, while some Arab sources claim that the actual casualties of the Israeli army are much higher than the figures released by the IDF.
