Hai Phong: Opening of Con Son - Kiep Bac Cultural Week

On October 4, at Kiep Bac Temple, Tran Hung Dao Ward (Hai Phong), Hai Phong City People's Committee opened the Culture, Tourism and Trade Promotion Week of Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival 2025.

This is an activity within the framework of the Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival 2025, held from October 4 to 12 to honor the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Monument and Landscape Complex recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage.

This is also an event to celebrate the success of the 1st Hai Phong City Party Congress, term 2025-2030. Thereby promoting heritage values, linking tourism development with trade promotion, creating a driving force to promote Hai Phong's socio -economic development, making tourism a key economic sector of the city.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Lien, Head of the Con Son - Kiep Bac Relic Management Board, this is an opportunity for the city to affirm its position as an important component in the common heritage space of the Northeast region, while highlighting the role and contribution of Hai Phong in preserving and promoting the value of human heritage.

Ms. Lien added that the Con Son - Kiep Bac Festival, held for the first time after the expansion of administrative boundaries, has a particularly important meaning, becoming a spiritual and cultural bridge, affirming the sustainable vitality of tradition, contributing to connecting the community in a larger heritage space.

This event creates an opportunity to widely introduce to domestic and foreign tourists about Hai Phong city, which is not only dynamic and modern with an industrial seaport but also rich in identity, imbued with cultural and historical traditions.

Con Son - Kiep Bac is a sacred land, marking the heroic and cultural history of the Vietnamese people, the place where outstanding heroes such as Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan, World Cultural Celebrity Nguyen Trai, Tu Do Tran Nguyen Dan and Zen Master Huyen Quang - Tam To Truc Lam were attached.

Through many historical ups and downs, Con Son - Kiep Bac is still a symbol of the tradition of patriotism, remembering the source of water when drinking and the spirit of great solidarity of the Vietnamese people.

The festival combines events to celebrate the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac relic and landscape complex as a World Cultural Heritage with many activities to promote the chain of heritages located in the complex in two neighboring provinces, Quang Ninh and Bac Ninh, to create regional links to develop tourism and services.

The Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival in 2025 will make an important contribution to the rapid, green, and sustainable socio-economic development of Hai Phong city, in line with the Prime Minister's direction at the 1st Hai Phong City Party Congress, term 2025-2030, taking culture as the foundation for building a cultural industry.

This year, the festival is held on a larger scale, the rituals are upgraded, worthy of the world cultural heritage.
