From the beautiful actions of students...

On the afternoon of October 15, 2025, on the familiar road home after school, Tran Trong Duy, an 8th grade student at Tan Tien Secondary School, Tan Hai Commune ( Lam Dong ), had a small but meaningful action, contributing practically to the work of ensuring security and order (ANTT) in the locality.

Tran Trong Duy handed over the homemade crossbow he found to the police.

At around 4:30 p.m., while walking home, Duy accidentally picked up an object shaped like a homemade crossbow that had been abandoned on the side of the road. Realizing the danger of this object, he did not hesitate to bring it to the Tan Hai Commune Police Station to hand it over.

Duy's voluntary actions and sense of responsibility were recognized and commended by the Commune Police force and considered a living proof of the effectiveness of propaganda and legal education on security and order in schools.

According to Tan Hai Commune Police, Duy's case is not an isolated one but is the result of a process of extensive, continuous, focused, and key propaganda in recent times in the campaign to collect weapons, explosives, and support tools.

We always identify propaganda as a core task, the "key" to creating consensus and self-awareness among the people. The combination of direct propaganda, through social networks and through the grassroots political system has brought about clear results, helping the security and order situation in the commune to have many positive changes.

Tan Hai Commune Police have stepped up propaganda work on security and order.

Strengthening propaganda in cyberspace

Recently, Tan Hai Commune Police have organized direct propaganda sessions at 2 middle schools and 1 high school in the area on traffic safety, drug prevention, ensuring security and order, and especially mobilizing the surrender of weapons, explosives, and supporting tools.

The propaganda sessions are organized vividly and easily understood, combined with visual illustrations to help students clearly perceive the harm and risks of storing and using homemade weapons and explosives.

Through propaganda, many people have voluntarily handed over weapons and explosives.

Not stopping there, the Commune Police also promoted the role of propaganda on cyberspace, through the model "I am a Commune Police", through the grassroots security and order force, village groups, self-management committees... to spread information and images about handing over weapons, mobilizing people to do the same.

Many households, after seeing the information on social networks, proactively brought knives, swords, pellet guns, electric batons... to hand in.

The Commune Police also advised the People's Committee of Tan Hai Commune to issue a document launching the reception, mobilization of handover and recovery of weapons, explosives and supporting tools, to be deployed from September 22 to 30, 2025.

In particular, each officer and soldier of the Commune Police and the grassroots security force are encouraged to mobilize and collect at least 2 types of weapons and support tools. The document is widely disseminated to each village, each household, each production facility, scrap purchasing facility, etc. These are places with potential risks of storing items that can cause insecurity and disorder.

Thanks to the synchronous implementation of many forms of propaganda, from direct to online and through the grassroots political system, the movement to mobilize the handover and recovery of weapons and explosives in Tan Hai commune has really gone into depth, creating a clear change in people's awareness.

Many weapons and explosives were handed over to Tan Hai Commune Police by the people.

From July 2025 to now, through propaganda and mobilization campaigns, Tan Hai Commune Police have received and recovered a total of 112 types of weapons, explosives and support tools. Among them, there is 1 pen-shaped gun (shooting homemade sports bullets), 1 ballpoint gun, 2 alcohol guns, 2 electric batons, 38 lead bullets and 68 knives, swords, three-pronged knives, machetes, and homemade weapons.

The numbers of weapons and explosives recovered not only demonstrate the effectiveness of propaganda and mobilization work but also demonstrate the increasingly high sense of responsibility and law-abiding awareness of the people of Tan Hai commune. In particular, the beautiful action of Tran Trong Duy has contributed to arousing self-awareness in the community, spreading the message "Every citizen is a soldier in protecting the security of the Fatherland".

From the results achieved, it can be seen that Tan Hai Commune Police are promoting the effectiveness of propaganda work in maintaining security and order at the grassroots level. When every citizen is aware of their responsibilities, practical movements like the one in Tan Hai will continue to expand, contributing to building a safer, more peaceful and civilized living environment for the homeland.
