Journal of Economics and Development is listed in Scopus

On January 16 in Hanoi, the National Economics University held a ceremony to announce the Journal of Economics and Development joining the Scopus list.

In his congratulatory speech, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc said that JED is the second journal among the journals of the schools under the Ministry of Education and Training to successfully join the Scopus list. More than a year ago, the journal of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City also successfully joined the Scopus system.

JED has made great strides in international development, officially indexed in the prestigious Scopus list. With JED joining Scopus, scientists in the field of economics in Vietnam can now participate in international publications in JED, which will contribute to enhancing the presence and spreading of Vietnamese science in the international scientific community. From now on, scientists in the field of economics in Vietnam can participate in international publications in JED.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc assigned the task to JED Magazine to share experiences in the process of upgrading JED for Vietnamese scientific journals so that Vietnam can have more journals that meet international standards and increase Vietnam's scientific potential in the world and contribute to the successful implementation of the Government's Project 69 on "Improving the quality of higher education in the period 2019-2025".

At the same time, the Deputy Minister expressed his belief that JED Magazine and the National Economics University will continue to promote their strengths, implement innovative and breakthrough solutions to maintain the sustainable development of JED in Scopus and join other prestigious international databases. At the same time, he requested that JED Magazine should focus on key research areas with high impact such as sustainable development issues in the new context to contribute more to the country's science, the region and the world.

Scopus was built in November 2004 and is owned by Elsevier Publishing (Netherlands), for online subscription, with a fee. It is a bibliographic database containing abstracts and citations of scientific articles. Scopus contains 57 million abstracts, nearly 22,000 categories from more than 5,000 publishers, of which more than 30,000 are specialized review journals in Science, Technology, Medicine, Society, Arts and Humanities. To be listed in Scopus, journals are also strictly selected.
