Training on theory and criticism of literature and art in the Southern region

On August 8, in Buon Ma Thuot City, the Central Council for Theory and Criticism of Literature and Arts coordinated with the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee to organize a training conference on theory and criticism of literature and arts in 2023 with the theme "Improving awareness, qualifications, capacity, innovating content and methods of leadership and management of literature and arts in the new situation".

Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen The Ky, Chairman of the Central Council for Theory and Criticism of Literature and Arts; leaders of the Propaganda Departments of provincial and municipal Party Committees and more than 300 students who are managers of propaganda, press, literature and arts in provinces and cities in the Southern region.

At the conference, the students were equipped with 6 topics: Looking back at 15 years of implementing Resolution 23-NQ/TW on continuing to build and develop literature and art in the new period; Overview of the current literary situation; Innovation of the activities of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Art Associations and Central specialized literature and art associations in response to new requirements; Discussion of the central character of today's literature; Current work of theory and criticism of literature and art - Current situation and development requirements; Cultural industry and the position and role of literature and art in the development of cultural industry.

Comrade Nguyen Van Muoi, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and delegates of our province attended the training.

Through the training, the aim is to share and exchange experiences, helping trainees consolidate and grasp the viewpoints and guidelines for cultural, literary and artistic development of the Party and State; enhance the value of artistic ideology, ensure freedom in literary and artistic creation; approach innovative issues, improve capacity and methods of leadership and management of literature and art in the current period... From there, apply them to practical work, perform better assigned tasks, actively contribute to the fight against wrong viewpoints in the field of literature and art, improve the cultural and artistic life of the country, and protect the Party's ideological foundation in the new situation.
