“Breakthrough” to build a strong and comprehensive unit
In the 2020-2025 period, the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee has led the unit to focus on improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots party organizations. In Party building work, the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee has paid attention to leading grassroots party cells and committees to maintain strict and effective implementation of party principles, rules, and regimes.
At Tam Quan Nam Border Post (located in Hoai Nhon ward), in the process of implementing the policy of rearranging and reorganizing local military and border agencies, the unit has strengthened ideological education and thoroughly grasped the adjustment tasks. At the same time, it has managed and grasped the ideological developments and thoughts of soldiers to proactively resolve all difficulties and problems.
"Thanks to that, the unit is always united internally, officers and soldiers have strong political will, good moral qualities, and are ready to receive and complete all assigned tasks well" - Lieutenant Colonel Giap Minh Nam - Political Commissar of Tam Quan Nam Border Guard Station said.
According to Colonel Doan Ngoc Bau - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, concurrently Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard Command, the "plus point" of the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee is that it has promoted the role of organizations in the unit such as Youth, Women and Military Councils at all levels. At the same time, it has implemented 3 breakthroughs in organization, staffing; training; building discipline, law enforcement and ensuring safety.
With its core and specialized role, the Provincial Border Guard has proactively advised the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee to successfully carry out the task of managing and protecting the province's territorial sovereignty, border and sea security.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Cong - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Provincial Border Guard Command, on the basis of doing a good job of grasping, forecasting, and correctly assessing the situation, the Party Committee and the Provincial Border Guard Command have proactively developed and implemented plans and strategies to combat and prevent activities that take advantage of ethnic and religious issues and political opportunities to disrupt political security and social order and safety in the management area.
In addition, the provincial Border Guard also built a professional plan and established many effective projects to combat various types of crimes. In the past 5 years, the provincial Border Guard has detected, arrested, and handled 400 cases/631 law violators.
In addition, the provincial Border Guard maintains strict implementation of procedures for border inspection and supervision at Le Thanh international border gate and Quy Nhon Port border gate in accordance with legal regulations.
Peace of mind for the people - strong border
Currently, the Provincial Border Guard is sponsoring 193 students in difficult circumstances under the Project "Army officers and soldiers help children go to school", 52 students under the Program "Helping children go to school" and 12 students under the Program "Adopted children of Border Guard Station", Project "Helping a poor household in border and coastal areas every week". These models not only provide material support but also spread humanistic values; helping the path to school as well as the future of students in difficult circumstances become brighter.
Building a people's heart in the border area plays a central role, is the foundation to promote the strength of the great national unity bloc to build a border defense for all people. In that spirit, every border guard officer and soldier always keeps in mind that "The station is home, the border is homeland, the people of all ethnic groups are blood brothers". In all fronts, from helping people eliminate hunger and reduce poverty; examining and treating diseases; building roads, supporting house construction... to building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developing border, all bear the mark of the green-uniformed soldier.
Participating in building the political system at the grassroots level, there are 7 Border Guard officers strengthening the border communes; 49 Border Guard Station Party members participating in activities at 49 village and hamlet Party cells; 194 Party members in charge of 812 households/3,307 people in the border area. This force, together with officers and soldiers in the units, always persistently implement "3 sticking, 4 together" to carry out the work of disseminating, propagating and educating the law, contributing to stabilizing political security in the border and sea areas.
Colonel Doan Ngoc Bau affirmed: "Every beautiful action and good work of Border Guard soldiers has contributed to increasing people's trust in the Party and State, making the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" brighter in the new era."
