On the morning of October 4, the 1st Congress of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term closed after 3 days (from September 2-4).

The Congress voted 100% to pass the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030. The set targets include 10 economic targets, 14 social targets, 7 environmental targets, and 2 targets on Party building.

Accordingly, economic indicators including the growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the period of 2025 - 2030 strive to reach 10% - 10.5%/year (2010 comparative price); GRDP per capita reaches 6,300 - 6,500 USD. Total export turnover in the period of 2026 - 2030 reaches over 17 billion USD.

By 2030, the economic structure of agriculture, forestry and fishery will account for 19.5 - 20%; industry - construction will account for 36 - 36.5%; services will account for 40 - 41%; product taxes minus product subsidies will account for 4.2%.

Notably, the total budget revenue in the province reached over 41,000 billion VND. By 2030, Gia Lai province strives to welcome 18.5 million tourists (including 1.1 million international visitors); with 20 businesses per thousand people.

Some other indicators such as urbanization rate reaching over 45%; number of completed social housing apartments reaching over 11,800; rate of urban solid waste collected and treated reaching 95%...

To achieve the set goals and targets, the Congress Resolution sets out four main groups of tasks and solutions; five growth pillars; and four breakthroughs in the 2025-2030 term.

Accordingly, the five pillars of growth include: Focusing on developing a strong processing and manufacturing industry to become a pillar of the economy; developing tourism to truly become a spearhead economic sector; developing high-tech agriculture and sustainable forestry; and developing port and logistics services.

Rapid and sustainable urban development associated with the development of industrial real estate market, urban real estate, tourism real estate, service infrastructure, and urban economy contributes significantly to the economic growth rate of the province.

Along with that, 4 breakthroughs include: Breakthrough in building and perfecting institutions; promoting the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, considering this as an important new driving force to promote the province's development; promoting the development of high-quality human resources to serve economic restructuring; creating breakthroughs in investment in building transport infrastructure, irrigation, port - logistics infrastructure, industrial - trade - service infrastructure, digital infrastructure.

In his closing speech at the Congress, Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term Ho Quoc Dung affirmed that the Congress was a great success. The Resolution of the Congress and the documents just passed are the crystallization of the wisdom, will, aspiration and determination of the entire Party Committee, the entire army and the people of all ethnic groups in Gia Lai province in the new period.

“That is to build a clean and strong Party organization and political system; promote cultural identity and the strength of national solidarity,” Mr. Ho Quoc Dung emphasized, adding that we will continue to maintain national defense and security; promote the development of science and technology; mobilize all resources to build Gia Lai into a fairly developed province of the country and, together with the whole country, firmly enter a new era of development.

The Congress called on cadres, party members, people and soldiers in the province to promote patriotism, the revolutionary tradition of the homeland, the will to be self-reliant, strengthen solidarity, be proactive, creative, seize opportunities, overcome difficulties and challenges, strive to successfully implement the Resolution of the Congress, make worthy contributions to the common achievements of the country in the era of national development, worthy of the trust and expectations of the people in the province.

Sharing before taking up the task, Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term Ho Quoc Dung also hoped that in the coming time, delegates would work together to carry out the tasks and targets set by the congress, aiming for Gia Lai province to develop well together with the whole country to firmly enter a new era of development.

Mr. Ho Quoc Dung also promised that no matter where he goes or what he does, he will always turn to his homeland with deep affection and contribute to building his homeland.

According to Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, in the 2025 - 2030 term, Gia Lai province has set out 33 main targets to strive to achieve with the determination to make Gia Lai province a fairly developed province of the country and together with the whole country firmly enter a new era of development.

Regarding the 5 pillars and 4 breakthroughs identified in the Congress Resolution, Mr. Tuan affirmed that the province's work now is to continue to organize and implement because many contents have been deployed in the next steps, not just starting now.
