Faced with that reality, ThaiBinh Seed - one of the leading enterprises in the field of selecting, producing and supplying plant varieties continues to affirm its pioneering role with clear practical results.
Not only focusing on developing high-quality rice varieties, ThaiBinh Seed also promotes coordination with localities, farmer organizations, and cooperatives to transfer synchronous technical processes, helping people to exploit the maximum potential of varieties, minimize risks, and increase economic efficiency.
The 2025 crop season is considered one of the most difficult in recent years. The North has been hit by three major storms - Ragasa, Bualoi and Matmo... which have severely affected rice production. In many localities, prolonged heavy rains during the flowering and ripening stages have caused thousands of hectares of rice to fall, break stems, and seriously reduce productivity. However, at ThaiBinh Seed's rice variety demonstration models - especially at the Group's Crop Research Institute in Hung Yen, the situation is much more positive.
Despite being affected by similar weather conditions, ThaiBinh Seed rice varieties still grow well, stand firm, flower evenly, have a high percentage of solid grains, and are free of pests and diseases. This is a clear demonstration of the outstanding resistance and stability of the varieties that have been carefully selected and tested in practice through many different seasons and ecological zones.
Not only demonstrating weather resistance, varieties such as TBR97, TBR225, TBR39, BC15-09... are also highly appreciated for their productivity, rice quality and farming efficiency. Among them, TBR97 rice variety has become the priority choice of many localities thanks to its short-term characteristics, strong plants, good resistance to pests and diseases, stable yield and quality of clear white rice, soft rice, suitable for market tastes.
Ms. Tran Thi Tra - General Director of ThaiBinh Seed Group emphasized: “After the merger of Thai Binh and Hung Yen provinces, ThaiBinh Seed is committed to continuing to accompany the agricultural sector of Hung Yen province on the journey of sustainable development. We focus on 4 main directions: Cooperating with departments, branches and localities to build a suitable seed structure and develop effective raw material areas; accompanying farmers and cooperatives through production - consumption linkage programs, training on new seed cultivation techniques to increase productivity and reduce costs; strengthening research on hybridization of varieties adapted to climate change and developing ecological agriculture; developing local agricultural value chains with modern processing factories and building a rice brand with clear traceability. ThaiBinh Seed wishes to become a reliable partner, contributing to building a modern and sustainable agriculture in the whole country”.
Currently, ThaiBinh Seed's rice varieties are available in most of the key rice-growing provinces in the Red River Delta, North Central and part of South Central. The Group has also been closely coordinating with the Departments of Agriculture and Environment, Seed Centers, Agricultural Extension Centers of provinces such as Thai Binh, Hung Yen, Nam Dinh, Hai Duong, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh... to conduct field trials, replicate the model and organize field workshops and technical training for farmers.
One of the special features of ThaiBinh Seed's approach is its commitment to providing seeds from legitimate sources, produced according to a three-level process (original - certified - commercial), with strict inspection of purity, germination and seed quality. Thanks to that, the seeds that reach farmers are guaranteed to be highly stable, without adulteration, without fake or imitation seeds - a problem that is causing a lot of damage in agricultural production today.

In addition to seed quality, ThaiBinh Seed also pays special attention to transferring technical processes and providing cultivation instructions suitable for each ecological region. The Group's technical staff coordinates with local professional units to organize training, seminars, and regular field visits to help farmers grasp the process of care, proper fertilization, and proactive pest control, thereby reducing input costs and improving farming efficiency.
Actual results from the models show that the rice yield of the varieties provided by ThaiBinh Seed all reach 65-78 tons/ha, even exceeding 8 tons/ha in some good intensive farming areas. Compared to the old varieties, the yield increase is from 10-20%, while the seed cost is reduced thanks to lower sowing volume, simple cultivation techniques, easy to apply on a large scale.
Not stopping at seed production, ThaiBinh Seed is gradually perfecting the rice value chain in a modern and sustainable direction. The Group is implementing the construction of a modern rice processing factory in Hung Yen province, associated with planning high-quality raw material areas, tracing the origin and building a brand for rice grown in the region. This is a strategic step to increase the value of rice grains, bringing Vietnamese agricultural products deeper into the global value chain.

In addition, ThaiBinh Seed also promotes the application of digital technology in seed management, raw material area management and product supply. From seed production, packaging, preservation to distribution, all are digitized, transparent and strictly controlled. This not only improves management efficiency but also helps farmers and cooperatives easily access and update information, thereby providing peace of mind in product production and consumption.
More importantly, the success of ThaiBinh Seed lies not only in developing good rice varieties, but also in the systematic, synchronous approach, focusing on farmers. The close coordination between enterprises - local authorities - cooperatives - farmers has created a sustainable and effective linkage model, helping to minimize risks and increase value in agricultural production.
What ThaiBinh Seed is doing shows a long-term vision: Agricultural production needs to be led by science, supported by strong businesses and proactively changed thinking from farmers.
The 2025-2026 crop season is approaching. In the context of the weather still having many potential uncertainties, choosing the right varieties, cultivating properly, and closely linking the parties will continue to be the key to ensuring success. With full preparation from high-quality varieties, stable supply, methodical technical processes and synchronized value chains, ThaiBinh Seed continues to commit to accompanying the Vietnamese agricultural sector, and farmers firmly on the path of sustainable development.
