Thanh Hang locked comments after controversial floating pose

(Dan Tri) - Performing a demonstration for contestants of "Vietnam's Next Top Model 2025", supermodel Thanh Hang received many mixed comments about her expertise.

Episode 1 of Vietnam's Next Top Model 2025 aired on the evening of August 3rd and is causing a lot of controversy on social networks, especially the posing of host Thanh Hang and the contestants.

In which, the clip of supermodel Thanh Hang hanging in the air, demonstrating to the contestants, attracted 1 million views on TikTok and thousands of comments.

In this challenge, 15 contestants were asked to take aerial photos with a 5m high resistance pole. Thanh Hang wore a long, loose-fitting dress, which was lifted into the air by a crane to demonstrate to the contestants.

The 8X model was somewhat fumbling in the air. She said that strong winds and height were big challenges so she had to check for safety herself before letting the contestants perform.

However, after being aired, Thanh Hang’s posing caused a lot of controversy. Some opinions said that the supermodel’s demonstration was not attractive and not convincing enough to guide the contestants.

Some netizens even said that Thanh Hang's photography and posing skills from above were somewhat inferior to her juniors. Contestants like Tuyet Mai, Bao Ngoc, Ai Bang... were not afraid to try difficult, heart-stopping poses with their high-rise leaning.

Notably, despite wearing 10kg heavy costumes with many bulky accessories and facing strong winds, the contestants still completed the program's tasks relatively well. Among them, Bao Ngoc was honored as the contestant with the most beautiful photo and became the leader of the common house in the next episode.

However, there are also some fans defending Thanh Hang, saying that she has not shown any professional marks but still has good communication skills, and her guidance is necessary to help contestants grasp knowledge and skills before the competition.

This is not the first time Thanh Hang has caused controversy with her fashion poses. At designer Le Thanh Hoa's show in April, Thanh Hang performed as a vedette and had a "head-hugging pose" that attracted attention.
