According to a representative of the Social Work Department of Children's Hospital 1 (HCMC), this place has just discovered a fanpage using the name, logo and image of the unit.
The above fanpage used the image and information of a very sick child, along with tragic words such as "save my child", "very tragic"... to post, calling for money transfers to a personal account named "DO TRONG HUY".
A representative of Children's Hospital 1 confirmed that the above fanpage is fake and that the unit did not use personal account numbers to call for or ask for money for pediatric patients.
"If philanthropists want to help sick children, please contact the Social Work Department of Children's Hospital 1 directly by phone at (028).3927.4542, or come to the hospital and contact them directly to verify information about cases needing help.
By doing so, the money will be sent to the right situation and the right purpose, promptly supporting patients, limiting the exploitation of kindness. In case of detecting a fake page, we respectfully ask everyone not to interact, not to share and report violations to Facebook," the Children's Hospital 1 announced.

Similarly, Binh Duong General Hospital (HCMC) has also just issued a warning about inaccurate information calling for support.
Accordingly, this place has recently recorded some information spreading on social networks related to fundraising activities labeled as donations for people being treated at Binh Duong General Hospital, such as the post asking for money to help Mr. NMK who suffered a traffic accident that caused severe brain injury.
Through verification, the unit confirmed that there are no cases of patients as stated being treated at the hospital.
"We respectfully inform that using the image and name of the hospital or the patient to call for support for the wrong purpose is an act of taking advantage of the community's trust. This negatively affects the hospital's reputation and legitimate charitable activities.
We sincerely hope that people always verify information from official sources before sharing or contributing. When discovering suspicious content, please contact the hospital at 1900.8087, or notify the authorities for timely reception and handling," Binh Duong General Hospital requested.

Previously, Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital, Thu Duc General Hospital, and Ho Chi Minh City Dental Hospital also announced that they had discovered a number of fake fanpages impersonating other units, aiming to mislead the community for profit.
At Cho Ray Hospital, this unit even received some complaints from organ donor registrants about some subjects claiming to be hospital staff, calling them to ask them to pay a fee to receive a registration card delivered by the post office .
The Cho Ray Hospital's Human Organ Transplant Coordination Unit has reported to the post office to verify and thoroughly handle the incident, in order to prevent similar acts from happening.
