Kinh Mon City Party Committee offers flowers to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the founding of the first Party Cell.

Leaders of Kinh Mon town visited the stele house - where the first Party cell, the predecessor of today's Kinh Mon town Party Committee, was established.

On the morning of October 23, at the memorial stele house in Han Xuyen residential area, That Hung ward, the Standing Committee of Kinh Mon Town Party Committee solemnly held a flower offering ceremony and visited the red address to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the establishment of the first Party cell, the predecessor of the present-day Kinh Mon Town Party Committee (October 23, 1945 - October 23, 2024).

In response to revolutionary demands, on October 23, 1945, at the house of comrade Nguyen Van Tru in Han Xuyen village, That Hung commune (now Han Xuyen residential area, That Hung ward), comrade Tran Cung, on behalf of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, announced the admission and establishment of Kinh Mon district Party Cell consisting of 6 party members. Comrade Nguyen Van Tru was elected as Party Cell Secretary.

At the end of February 1946, Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee appointed a provisional District Party Committee, Kinh Mon Party Committee was established, leading the revolutionary movement to develop strongly, achieving many glorious feats of arms, contributing worthily to the cause of national liberation, national unification as well as the cause of innovation and homeland construction.

After 79 years of establishment, from the first Party cell with 6 members, Kinh Mon Town Party Committee has continuously grown and matured. Up to now, there are 8,570 party members in 59 grassroots party organizations. Every year, the rate of grassroots party organizations completing their tasks well reaches 89.23%.

The Kinh Mon Town Party Committee has led the local government and people to achieve many achievements in socio-economic development. After many years of efforts, on September 16, 2024, the Ministry of Construction issued a Decision to recognize Kinh Mon Town as a type III urban area. In the first 9 months of 2024, despite facing many difficulties, especially the direct impact of super typhoon No. 3 and floods, causing great damage, the Party Committee, government, cadres, party members, business community and people of all walks of life have united and made efforts to overcome. The total production value in the first 9 months of 2024 is estimated at 53,327 billion VND, reaching 73.4% of the plan, up 10.3% over the same period; the total budget revenue is estimated at 1,684 billion VND, exceeding the yearly estimate by 25%.
