Weather on October 15: Thunderstorms expand in the North and North Central regions

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on October 15, the Northeastern region and provinces from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with average rainfall of 15-30mm, and locally heavy rain of over 80mm.

The meteorological agency warned that thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains may cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in low-lying areas.

At sea, the Gulf of Tonkin, the sea area from Quang Tri to Hue, from Ca Mau to An Giang and the Gulf of Thailand will have scattered showers and thunderstorms.
