With his victory in the 2025 US Open semi-finals, Alcaraz extended his winning streak to 12 matches. The Spaniard has reached the final of the last 8 tournaments he has participated in, since Monte Carlo in April.
Alcaraz has made a total of seven Grand Slam final appearances, moving him up to third on the list of players under 23 with the most Grand Slam finals.
He is only 1 time behind Bjorn Borg (Sweden) and Rafael Nadal (Spain).
Alcaraz will turn 23 in May 2026, and the Spanish tennis player can still reach at least one more Grand Slam final (Australian Open 2026) to equal the achievements of two senior tennis players.
Alcaraz also became the fourth player since 2000 to reach the US Open final without dropping a set. Before Alcaraz, only Roger Federer (2015), Rafael Nadal (2010) and Lleyton Hewitt (2004) had achieved this feat.
The 22-year-old Spaniard will rise to the top of the ATP rankings if Jannik Sinner fails to reach the 2025 US Open final. On the contrary, Alcaraz must defeat Sinner in the final to be able to step up to the world No. 1 position.
