(Haiphong.gov.vn) – The City People's Committee has just issued a document agreeing to the plan to organize the Opening Ceremony, teaching and learning time at educational institutions in the city for the 2024-2025 school year as proposed by the Department of Education and Training.

Accordingly, the Opening Ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year will be held at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024 - National Day of Taking Children to School.

Opening Ceremony (no more than 35 minutes). Ceremony: organization, welcoming students (not required); flag salute, singing the National Anthem (required that cadres, teachers, staff, and students sing the National Anthem on instrumental music); reading Uncle Ho's letter to students on the opening day of school (excerpt from the Grade 5 textbook - 2018 General Education Program), Letter from the President to cadres, teachers, students, and students on the opening day of the 2024-2025 school year; declaring the reason, introducing delegates; opening speech (required to be brief); The principal or respectfully invites leadership delegates to attend the drumbeat to open the new school year.

Festival section: contents of Receiving the certificate of recognition of National Standard School; praising and rewarding collectives and individuals; festival activities to welcome the new school year, etc. suitable to the actual conditions of the school.

The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training to direct schools, educational institutions, and related units to implement the Opening Ceremony program in accordance with the direction and guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training ; organize teaching and learning in accordance with Decision No. 2826/QD-UBND dated August 9, 2024 of the City People's Committee promulgating the 2024-2025 school year time plan framework for preschool education, general education, and continuing education in Hai Phong city.

The Opening Ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year must be organized solemnly, safely, economically, practically, demonstrating the spirit of sharing, encouraging students, teachers, staff, and workers to overcome difficulties and complete teaching and learning tasks. For preschool education units, organize the opening ceremony in the form of "Children's Day to School" flexibly and creatively in terms of time and content suitable to the psychological characteristics of children to create a good impression for children on the first day of the new school year.

After the Opening Ceremony, Kindergartens, Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, High Schools and Multi-level General Schools; District and County Vocational Education and Continuing Education Centers, and affiliated units will organize teaching and learning activities from Friday, September 6, 2024. For preschool and primary education, based on the actual conditions of each school, organize teaching and learning, and boarding on the principle of consensus of parents or guardians of students./.
