Reporting to Deputy Minister, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Railways Corporation Dang Sy Manh, the peak transport period of the Lunar New Year 2024 has many new points. In particular, the increase of passenger trains and freight trains should bring more efficiency in business. In particular, with the completion and putting into operation of the works under the North - South Railway Renovation and Upgrade Project, package 7,000 billion, package 3,000 billion, infrastructure bottlenecks have been removed, so the rate of trains departing on time is nearly 100%, the rate of trains arriving on time has increased, increasing by more than 20% compared to the previous Tet.

Mr. Manh also said that this year the railway has increased the number of staff on duty on New Year's Eve, nearly 1/4 of the entire corporation's employees with over 5,600 employees in train operations, train service, patrol... to improve service quality and ensure safety. Therefore, up to now, Tet transportation has been effective, and trains have ensured safe train operation.

According to Mr. Manh, in 2023, with efforts and flexibility in business, railway transport has achieved good results, train operation efficiency is higher. The average income of workers has improved compared to before, an average of nearly 10 million VND/person/month. Particularly on Tet holiday, the average income of workers in the whole industry is nearly 15 million VND/person/month, an increase of about 28% compared to the previous Tet.
