Congratulating Mr. Do Thanh Binh on being trusted by the Party and State to take on the important responsibility at the Ministry of Home Affairs in the context of much work to be done after the revolution of "reorganizing the country" and operating a two-level local government, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son assessed Mr. Do Thanh Binh as a leader who grew up from the grassroots, has a strong political stance, professional qualifications, capacity, and has been trained in the field.
New requirements pose heavy tasks and missions for the Ministry of Home Affairs.
With nearly 40 years of working experience, having held many important leadership positions in Kien Giang province before being assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, through practical work, Mr. Do Thanh Binh has affirmed his leadership and management capacity, close and decisive; high sense of responsibility; pure moral qualities; innovative and creative thinking; constantly striving to strive and excellently complete assigned tasks.
Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son affirmed that Mr. Binh's assignment to the position of Permanent Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs demonstrates the great trust and expectation of the Party and the State. At the same time, it is a very necessary mobilization and strengthening of leadership staff for the Ministry of Home Affairs in the context that we are continuing to consolidate and enhance the achievements of the revolution to streamline the apparatus for effective, efficient and effective operations.
The current situation is posing heavier tasks and missions for the Ministry of Home Affairs and the home affairs sector. Therefore, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the new permanent deputy minister to quickly approach and catch up with the work, focus on leading and directing the implementation of key and focused tasks; unite and coordinate with the collective in the spirit of democracy, discipline, collective strength and intelligence.
At the same time, Mr. Son requested the Ministry of Home Affairs to immediately start building a smooth, synchronous, and effective operating mechanism for the two-level government apparatus to better serve the people and businesses, and to avoid disruptions in public administrative services; and to continue reviewing and evaluating the operation of the apparatus deployed at both the local government level and internal organizations.
The Ministry of Home Affairs needs to focus on administrative reform, pioneer in digital transformation, and build a national database on cadres, civil servants, and public employees. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the prerequisite is that public administrative services must operate smoothly on a digital platform, serving people and businesses effectively.
