Coach Luis Enrique recently had an unexpected accident when he fell off his bicycle and was taken to the emergency room with a broken collarbone.
According to the official announcement from PSG, the Spanish strategist will have to undergo surgery.
The incident happened on Friday, when Luis Enrique – who is a cycling enthusiast – participated in training as usual.
PSG immediately sent words of encouragement and affirmed that they will provide maximum support to Luis Enrique during his treatment.
Luis Enrique arrives at PSG in the summer of 2023, after his time in charge of the Spanish national team at the 2022 World Cup.
In the first season, he and the French capital team conquered all domestic titles.
In the 2024/25 season, Luis Enrique wrote a new page in history for PSG when he won the Champions League, along with a spectacular treble. Most recently, the European Super Cup title.
That success helped Luis Enrique consolidate his position at Parc des Princes, where he is expected to continue building a new era.
Off the field, Luis Enrique is known for his great love of cycling. He participated in the Cape Epic in South Africa – a multi-stage off-road race considered the most difficult in the world , lasting nearly 700 km.
Luis Enrique has cycled to the PSG training centre many times, considering it part of his sporting lifestyle.
This accident has made fans worried, but with a strong will and experience in overcoming many challenges, Enrique is believed to soon recover and return to the coaching chair.
