After merging with Dak Nong and Binh Thuan , the new Lam Dong land has a unique tourism space, with high mountains and vast seas. Thousands of pine trees, thousands of colorful flowers and a tourism brand with a century-old history will join hands with the sea, realizing the desire for development. This is also one of the economic pillars of the new Lam Dong, stated in the draft of the Political Report submitted to the 1st Congress of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

Tourists enjoy the experience of off-road vehicles crossing white sand dunes at Bau Trang U&ME tourist area - a destination that is "changing its appearance" after the formation of the new Lam Dong province.
Currently, every day, Bau Trang U&ME Tourist Area, Hoa Thang Commune, Lam Dong Province welcomes from 3,000 to 4,000 visitors to visit, take photos and experience games on the white sand dunes of more than 2 hectares. Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Executive Director of the Tourist Area said that since the merger of the province, the number of visitors has increased by about 15-20% and will increase even more when connecting smoothly from the sandy beach to the land of thousands of flowers, Da Lat.
“Since the province merged, there has been a combination of forest, sea and desert, which is a very large block for us to connect services in the province. The most important thing is the traffic connection for tourists to have the most convenience from the sea to the thousand flowers and from the thousand flowers to the sea. The most practical thing that the company has aimed for is the connection between tourism units, especially travel agencies, to build seamless incentive programs when going to Da Lat down to the sea”, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung shared.

After the merger, Lam Dong has a trio of ecosystems: the blue sea of Binh Thuan, the majestic "great forest" of Dak Nong, with the Global Geopark and the poetic "thousand flowers" of Da Lat, a century-old brand of Vietnamese tourism. The whole province currently has more than 4,200 accommodation establishments, nearly 1,400 hotels from 1 to 5 stars, capable of welcoming 48 million visitors each year. In 2025 alone, the province aims to attract 23 million tourists.
Tourists immerse themselves in the space of gongs - a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity, a symbol of solidarity among the ethnic communities in Lam Dong.
According to Dr. Phan Bao Giang, Vice Principal and Head of Marketing Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance, in the period of 2025-2030, when systemizing the potentials and local styles, and at the same time connecting well with the markets, Lam Dong tourism will be a real economic pillar.
“We need to draw up a customer positioning map for each tourist route of the new Lam Dong province. We see that each locality from Dak Nong, Lam Dong, to the old Binh Thuan has a different style, so in a very large project like this, if we have consensus and join forces, I believe that all difficulties will be overcome,” said Dr. Phan Bao Giang.

According to the draft resolution submitted to the first Lam Dong Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, tourism is one of the three important economic pillars of the province, along with high-tech agriculture and modern industry and construction. In the context of increasingly fierce competition, Lam Dong focuses on building unique tourism products, promoting the application of digital technology in promotion and management, and strengthening public-private cooperation to attract investment and sustainably develop the smokeless industry. Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, said that the most important factor is the companionship of businesses. If tourism is done without businesses, it will certainly fail.
“A very important factor is the companionship of businesses. If tourism is done without the companionship of businesses, it is a failure. Our culture, sports and tourism sector is committed to accompanying businesses so that we can move forward together. Businesses support the locality in building and shaping the image of a new Lam Dong tourism,” said Mr. Nguyen Van Loc.
Aiming at the goal of developing high-quality tourism, Lam Dong province is focusing on investing and building national and international tourist areas such as Tuyen Lam Lake, Mui Ne, Ta Dung, associated with typical tourism products: eco-tourism, resorts, adventure sports, agricultural tourism, music, health care and indigenous cultural experiences. Mr. Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, said that in order for Lam Dong to become a high-quality tourism center, it is important to awaken the great potential of all three regions: "thousands of flowers, great forests and blue sea".

With diverse terrain from mountains to blue sea, Lam Dong is promoting its natural and cultural characteristics to become a high-quality tourism center of the Central Highlands region.
“Our advantage is to expand our vision. Ideas are important, innovative, and creative. The vast forest area, the blue sea area, and the thousands of flowers are like a tripod, very strong, but these three legs are not even. To ensure the number of tourists reaches or exceeds our target, we must ensure security and order. Ensure the roads, and ensure the health and safety of tourists. Each person is a tour guide. Tourist establishments always have smiles, always have cultured hospitality,” Mr. Ho Van Muoi affirmed.
With strategic vision, determination of the government, the companionship of businesses and people, Lam Dong is gradually realizing the aspiration of becoming a high-quality tourism center, playing the role of driving force for economic and social growth for the Central Highlands and the country. Lam Dong tourism - from potential to realizing development aspirations is in new steps of a new journey.
