Sun Group's Capella Hanoi becomes the first Vietnamese hotel to achieve 3 Michelin stars Key 2025

Capella Hanoi and Hotel de la Coupole - MGallery - two hotels belonging to Sun Group Corporation are two Vietnamese representatives honored in the list of Michelin Key 2025 global standard hotels; in which, Capella Hanoi achieved Three Michelin Key - the highest rank for excellent accommodation experience.

At the announcement ceremony of the Michelin Key global hotel rating system on October 8, Michelin Guide officially introduced the list of honored hotels in 2025, marking a historic milestone when the Michelin brand - after more than a century of defining culinary standards with the Michelin star system - expanded into the accommodation service sector for the first time.

After months of rigorous evaluation by a team of anonymous judges, Vietnam made its debut in the ranking system with 13 hotels and resorts honored, including 2 hotels with Three Michelin Keys, 3 hotels with Two Michelin Keys and 8 hotels with One Michelin Keys.

Among the honored hotels, Capella Hanoi (Hanoi) of Sun Group is one of only two hotels in Vietnam to receive Three Michelin Keys - the highest rating in the system, reserved for accommodations that offer the world's best experiences. Along with that, Hotel de la Coupole - MGallery (Sa Pa, Lao Cai) was awarded One Michelin Key, recognizing a unique stay experience in the heart of the misty town of Sa Pa.

Key hotels are classified into three levels: One Key for an exceptional stay; Two Key for a great stay; and Three Key – the highest level – for an outstanding stay. Michelin describes Three Key hotels as “a destination for the trip of a lifetime”.
