On the afternoon of September 15, Cat Tien 3 Commune Police ( Lam Dong ) said that they and the rescue team discovered Mr. Nguyen Huu Ha (47 years old, residing in Da Teh Commune) after being lost for 3 days in the forest of Cat Tien National Park.
According to information from the authorities, at around 1pm on September 13, Mr. Ha and his two children entered Sub-area 503 of Cat Tien National Park to pick bamboo shoots. Before going deep into the forest, he left his two children in a hut in Sub-area 503 and went alone.
By the afternoon of September 14, when their father had not returned, the two children called him but could not reach him, so they walked to the main road to inform their relatives. The family searched for many hours but to no avail.

On the morning of September 15, Mr. Nguyen Van Son (Mr. Ha's brother) went to Cat Tien 3 Commune Police to report the incident. Immediately after that, the Commune Police mobilized local forces, coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team of Region 4 (Lam Dong Provincial Police) to urgently search.
