Quang Tri province urgently announces for students to stay home from school to avoid storm No. 10

Quang Tri province has allowed all students to stay home from school on September 29 to ensure safety before storm No. 10; the Department of Education and Training has requested to review facilities, prepare for evacuation and recovery after the storm.

On September 28, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province issued an urgent notice allowing students in the entire province to stay home from school tomorrow, Monday (September 29), to ensure absolute safety in the face of the complicated developments of storm No. 10.

Accordingly, all preschools, general education , continuing education facilities, Quang Tri College of Education Inter-level High School, along with foreign language centers, information technology centers, life skills education centers, study abroad consulting centers and tutoring and tutoring facilities must notify students and trainees to stay home from school. This is a directive to implement the Conclusion Notice No. 5683/TB-VP dated September 27, 2025 of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province on response to storm No. 10.

The Department of Education and Training requires heads of units and schools to urgently inspect and review school facilities and campuses; at the same time, proactively prepare evacuation plans for students, teachers, and staff if the area is at risk of landslides, flash floods, and flash floods. In addition, units continue to implement the contents according to the official dispatch issued by this department earlier on proactively responding to storm Bualoi near the East Sea.

Immediately after the storm has passed, schools are responsible for cleaning up, repairing damage to facilities, ensuring safety and hygiene before welcoming students back. The Department also emphasized the need to closely monitor the developments of storm No. 10 and floods, promptly reporting any incidents and damages (if any) for assistance in handling.

The Department of Education and Training requests that units seriously implement this to protect the lives and property of students, teachers and staff in the entire sector.
