Trade Union organizations play a good role in taking care of workers.

On July 18, the Hanoi City Labor Confederation (HLC) organized a program to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024) and to honor outstanding grassroots Trade Union Chairmen.

Presenting a speech to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, praising exemplary grassroots Trade Union Chairmen and launching the contest "Hanoi Trade Union - Journey of construction and development", Chairman of the Hanoi Confederation of Labor Pham Quang Thanh said that in the 95-year journey of construction and development, through 13 Congresses, the Vietnamese working class has continuously grown in both quantity and quality, is present in all professions and economic sectors; is an important force, leading the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.

According to the Chairman of the City Labor Federation, the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union is an important political event marking a new development step of the workers' and civil servants' movement and the Vietnam Trade Union. Thereby, affirming the role and historical mission of the working class, the glorious tradition and the great contributions of the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union in the revolutionary stages of the country under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam .

"This is an opportunity for cadres, union members, employees and people across the country to review and promote the glorious tradition of the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union; strive to compete and be determined to successfully achieve the goal of a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization" - Chairman of the Hanoi Confederation of Labor Pham Quang Thanh affirmed.

The Chairman of the City Labor Federation said that the formation and development of the Vietnam Trade Union over the past 95 years has been accompanied by the significant contributions of the workforce and the Capital Trade Union. On July 31, 1946, the Hanoi Trade Union Federation was officially established to replace the National Salvation Workers' Association.

In the 95-year history of establishment and development of the Vietnam Trade Union in general and the Hanoi Trade Union in particular, there have always been important contributions from grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade union officials. Under the leadership and direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and the Hanoi Party Committee, the workforce and the Capital Trade Union have grown stronger and stronger.

The activities of the grassroots trade unions have gradually become more orderly, stable and substantial, creating a harmonious and stable labor relationship that helps businesses operate stably and effectively, ensuring jobs and income for workers... To achieve the above results, it is impossible not to mention the grassroots trade union staff in general, especially the 95 outstanding grassroots trade union chairmen representing over 9,000 grassroots trade union chairmen selected and commended by all levels of trade unions, union members and workers.

“These are shining examples, demonstrating the sense of responsibility, courage and intelligence of generations of Vietnamese Trade Union officials, with many innovations and outstanding maturity in professional work as well as trade union activities at the grassroots level; with many effective solutions and methods - especially promoting the representative role in caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers; striving to build an increasingly strong Trade Union organization, accompanying the team of workers, farmers, intellectuals, businessmen and the entire nation in building and protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland" - Chairman of the City Labor Federation Pham Quang Thanh emphasized.

Proud of the growth and glorious tradition of the Vietnam Trade Union, each cadre, union member, employee and the City Trade Union organization sees more clearly their responsibility, unite, overcome difficulties, be proactive and creative in continuing to innovate the content and methods of operation, contributing to building the Capital's workforce and the Trade Union organization increasingly strong, building the Capital "Cultured - Civilized - Modern".

On this occasion, to practically celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024) and as one of the activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), the Standing Committee of the Hanoi City Labor Confederation launched and implemented the contest "Hanoi Trade Union - Journey of construction and development" among the capital's workers.

The contest aims to widely propagate the glorious tradition of the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union; about the journey of building and developing the Hanoi Trade Union. Through the contest, it also propagates the contributions of workers in building the Capital of Culture - Civilization - Modernity in the form of dramatization. The contest is organized at the grassroots level from the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union and the final round at the city level on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.

The Chairman of the City Labor Federation requested that all levels of the Capital Labor Union organize and widely deploy the Contest to all levels of the Labor Union, creating an exciting and enthusiastic atmosphere, spreading to the grassroots, and attracting the participation of a large number of employees and union members.

Within the framework of the program, the City Labor Federation organized the opening of a photo exhibition with the theme: "Hanoi Labor Union participates in building a Cultural - Civilized - Modern Capital". The photo exhibition took place from July 18 to July 30, at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace.

Accordingly, there are more than 100 photos divided into 6 image clusters with the following contents: Uncle Ho with the Trade Union organization and workers of the Capital; Leaders of the Party, State and Hanoi City with the Trade Union, union members, and workers of the Capital; activities and care of the Trade Unions at all levels of the Capital with union members and workers; competitions for skilled workers, skill training and emulation movements of the Trade Unions at all levels of Hanoi City; promoting the glorious tradition, employees and union members of the Trade Unions of the Capital enthusiastically working and producing, contributing to the development of the Capital; pride in the Capital Hanoi today...

Each work on display is a meaningful message conveying to viewers a vivid and authentic feeling about the life and work of union members and employees; reflecting the development and great direct contributions of union members, employees and the City's Trade Union organization in the process of industrialization and modernization of the capital and the country.
