Lao Dong Newspaper reported that the Department of Construction of Ho Chi Minh City has just reported to the City People's Committee on the detailed plan to implement component project 2: Upgrading and expanding National Highway 13 (section from Binh Trieu Bridge to Vinh Binh Bridge), implemented under the BOT contract (Build - Operate - Transfer).


This section of National Highway, approximately 5.9 km long, will be widened to 60 m, accommodating 10 lanes. Notably, on National Highway 13, a 3.2 km long elevated road (viaduct) will be built from Binh Trieu intersection to Binh Phuoc intersection , with a scale of 4 lanes and a design speed of 80 km/h. Below, on both sides of the route, there will be parallel roads with 3 lanes on each side, with a maximum speed of 60 km/h, serving mixed vehicles. At the same time, to reduce pressure at major intersections, the project will build two two-way underpasses at Binh Loi intersection and Binh Phuoc intersection.
The total investment of component project 2 is more than 6,281 billion VND. The city aims to complete the approval of the compensation plan in December 2025.
3 airports apply level 1 aviation security control in the coming days
