Summary of the Scientific Workshop on Defining Ninh Binh Identity in Association with Local Branding

On the afternoon of August 25, after a day of urgent, responsible, and dedicated work with many outstanding ideas, the scientific workshop "Defining Ninh Binh identity associated with building local brands" completed its proposed program.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the Workshop, Comrade Tong Quang Thin, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Workshop respectfully thanked the leaders of the Central departments, ministries, branches, scientists, managers, agencies, units, and enterprises for attending and bringing special attention to the Workshop, contributing to the success of the Workshop.

In particular, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, the Vietnam Economic Institute and other units under the Academy for their close coordination and support with Ninh Binh province throughout the preparation and organization of the Workshop to have a meaningful, effective and successful Workshop.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee informed: The workshop received 50 reports, including 42 reports from experts, researchers from research institutes, universities, and other provinces, and 8 reports from researchers and managers of Ninh Binh province. The opinions focused on comprehensive and in-depth assessment of groups of issues: identification and assessment of specialized aspects; suggestions for specific mechanisms and policies; suggestions for solutions to promote local identity values and build local brands.

With rich, vivid content, high scientific content, and multidimensional approaches, the reports have clarified many theoretical and practical aspects, meeting the general objectives of the Workshop, emphasizing core issues to reach fundamental awareness for formatting Ninh Binh's unique identity and building Ninh Binh's brand in the future.

Opinions are unanimous that there should be some specific mechanisms and policies for Ninh Binh province, so that the locality can carry out its mission of preserving and conserving cultural values and world heritage. In particular, there should be a strategic orientation in forming a heritage city - an ancient capital associated with a smart city for Ninh Binh province.

Comrade Tong Quang Thin, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Workshop Organizing Committee, emphasized: Ninh Binh Province respectfully accepts the intellectual and dedicated contributions of experts, scientists, managers, and businesses. After the Workshop, the province will continue to conduct research as a basis for defining Ninh Binh's identity and building a local brand with unique and distinct values, with regional, national and international influence to enhance the position and overall value of the sacred land with a thousand-year cultural history.

At the same time, propose to the competent authorities to build a solid legal corridor for Ninh Binh to have a breakthrough development, from culture, from heritage, from unique strategic orientation with two development focuses to become a tourism center, an automobile industry center of the country and the region. In which, building Ninh Binh into an urban area with the characteristics of "Heritage City - Ancient Capital" is the central content.

Based on the results obtained, the Workshop Organizing Committee will report and advise the Provincial People's Committee, the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to direct agencies, units, and localities to develop a plan for defining identity associated with building the Ninh Binh brand for implementation.
