The contest is a new feature of this year's festival. The voting results were conducted from 40 delicious dishes, representing a total of more than 400 dishes from the units participating in the festival. The contest judges are experienced culinary experts, long-time culinary instructors and representatives of the festival organizing committee at Van Thanh Tourist Area.
The jury members took turns visiting each competition venue to admire the decorative arts, then tasted the dishes and listened to the contestants present their dishes, which were carefully prepared by each team, demonstrating their creativity in presentation as well as their passion and love for their homeland's dishes.
The journey of discovery and experience of 40 dishes representing the units can be seen as an interesting culinary tour for the judges through the styles, flavors, and ingredients used to prepare dishes that are imbued with the identities of the three regions of the North, Central, and South.

The judges unanimously announced the results of "Top 10 dishes you must try at the festival".
The names of the dishes of the winning units (randomly arranged, not in order of ranking) are as follows: Grilled pork with mac mat leaves (Saigon - Ba Be and Saigon - Ban Gioc resorts), tuna eyes stewed with Chinese herbs (Saigon - Phu Yen hotel), Hoi An cao lau (Saigontourane hotel), grilled eel sausage from Nghe An (Saigon - Kim Lien hotel), Royal salted rice (Saigon - Morin hotel), Dalat artichoke chicken pho (Saigon - Da Lat hotel), herbal pork noodle soup (Rex Saigon hotel), Majestic perch noodle soup (Majestic Saigon hotel), herring salad (Saigon - Phu Quoc resort) and ostrich tendon stewed with ginseng (Van Thanh tourist area).

Mr. Chiem Thanh Long - culinary expert, head of the contest's jury - shared: "Through the contest, we realized that the participating units have carefully researched regional cuisine to express the culinary cultural identity of their locality.
Organizing a contest to vote for the top 10 must-try dishes is also a good idea of this year's festival organizers, which can be seen as a suggestion for diners to easily find and choose dishes from more than 400 dishes at the festival.
Among the voting criteria, we highly appreciate the fact that the dishes must be delicious, attractive, beautifully decorated, and especially must have the standard local and regional flavors.
10 units with dishes in the "Top 10 must-try dishes at the Saigontourist Group 2024 Food and Culinary Culture Festival" were awarded a recognition plaque by the organizers, which was hung in front of the unit's booth.
This is also an "identification mark" for festival diners to recognize, taste and experience the voted dishes, alongside their favorite dishes and drinks.

The festival is organized by Saigontourist Group, open to the public from 4pm to 10pm every day, continuously from March 28 to 31, 2024 at Van Thanh Tourist Area, Ho Chi Minh City.
At the festival, experienced chefs from more than 40 4-5 star hotels and resorts of the corporation and some partners introduced to the public more than 400 typical regional dishes at more than 40 food booths arranged in 3 regions: North, Central, and South. Among them, there are many unique and delicious dishes introduced for the first time at the festival.
Visitors to the festival not only come to "eat", but also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a space filled with a festive atmosphere imbued with the cultural identity of the three regions. Along with the culinary space is the "real-life" area of traditional craft villages, the folk game area and the performance of traditional art forms in the form of a traveling performance.
In particular, in the craft village area, the folk cake village with more than 50 types of cakes, visitors can freely experience learning how to wrap leaves, bake, steam, fry cakes with artisans, learn how to make vermicelli, weave hats, make rice paper, bake rice paper, brew wine, and make fu ling cakes.
These interactive activities are organized for diners to experience, try for free and enjoy the festive atmosphere, only available at the festival.
