On the evening of October 4, at Dam Sen Cultural Park, Binh Thoi Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Tourist Group coordinated with Thanh Nien Newspaper and a number of units to organize the program "19th Mid-Autumn Festival".
500 children in difficult circumstances, including children orphaned by the Covid-19 pandemic, participated in " The World of Cuisine", enjoyed art performances and received gifts worth more than 1 million VND/person, including entertainment package tickets, meal vouchers, moon cakes, lanterns, scholarships...

This has been an annual activity of Saigontourist Group since 2006, under the program “Saigontourist Group for the community”. This year, the program expanded its coverage area after Ho Chi Minh City merged with Binh Duong and Ba Ria – Vung Tau.

Mr. Truong Duc Hung, General Director of Saigontourist Group, said that social responsibility is part of the company's development philosophy. "Mid-Autumn Festival" is not only about giving gifts but also about sending love, encouragement and hope to future generations.
"We believe that every gift and every word of encouragement can kindle new hopes, helping children feel the love and care of the whole society," said Mr. Truong Duc Hung.

Journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper, commented that this year’s festival is even more meaningful as Ho Chi Minh City has expanded its administrative boundaries. Many Covid-19 orphans in Binh Duong and Ba Ria – Vung Tau (formerly) were also invited to participate.

Previously, Saigontourist Group gave 800 gifts to disadvantaged children in Ho Chi Minh City, and Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to 860 children of ethnic minorities in Dak Lak province and children of officials and employees at many units in the system.
In addition to business strategy, Saigontourist Group always focuses on social responsibility. “The 19th Mid-Autumn Festival” is a meaningful activity in the series of events celebrating the 50th anniversary of Saigontourist Group (1975-2025), with the message “50 years of growing with the country”.
