A report from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) shows that sales of the D-class sedan segment in September 2025 decreased sharply. The decrease in sales of the D-class sedan segment was largely due to the fact that Toyota Camry sold much less than the previous month.

Accordingly, in September 2025, Toyota Camry recorded sales of only 78 units, down 56% compared to the previous month. This is the lowest monthly sales of Camry recorded since the beginning of the year.

However, Toyota Camry is still the best-selling D-class sedan in the whole market this month when Kia K5 only sold 19 cars (2 cars lower than last month) and Honda Accord achieved sales of 5 cars (2 cars higher than last month). Meanwhile, Mazda 6 is currently reported to be temporarily suspended, dealers are out of cars so there is no sales.

With most car models seeing a decrease in sales, the total number of D-class sedans sold in Vietnam in September was only 102, down about 49% compared to the previous month.

Up to now, it seems that the "effort" to increase sales only appears in the two models Toyota Camry and Kia K5. In which, according to Kia Vietnam's program, K5 has the highest incentive of up to 90 million VND, equivalent to 100% of the registration fee.

After a sharp decline in sales in September, in October, Toyota Vietnam (TMV) immediately offered a 50% discount on registration fees for the Camry for the first time.

With this incentive, customers buying a Toyota Camry will save from 61 to 77 million VND depending on the version. After the incentive, the actual price of a Camry is about 1.16 to 1.45 billion VND, still much higher than its competitor, the K5.
