Ho Chi Minh City: Tonight, the second parade and marching practice takes place.

The second parade rehearsal will take place at 8:00 p.m. on Le Duan Street.

Tonight (April 22), at Le Duan Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), there will be a rehearsal for the military parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

This second general practice session will take place at 8:00 p.m. Before that, at about 7:30 p.m., there will be a general performance of the welcoming art performance lasting about 30 minutes.

In parallel with the training session on Le Duan Street, in the area of ​​Ben Bach Dang Park, the military force will fire 21 cannon shots to the National Anthem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

  To serve the general training work, tonight, Ho Chi Minh City will adjust traffic, banning vehicles on many routes in the city center. Accordingly, all vehicles will be banned from circulating and parking from 5:30 p.m. on April 22 to 1 a.m. on April 23 on some routes.

  This road ban applies to both people and vehicles - except for forces and vehicles on duty to ensure security, order and traffic safety for the program.

  Ho Chi Minh City police advise residents and tourists to only walk home or to their hotels. Officials and civil servants doing urgent work must have identification or contact the ward police for instructions.

  People with houses in the above area need to have a plan to arrange their vehicles before the authorities set up a control barrier.

  Ho Chi Minh City Police also asked people to provide the driver's phone number so that the authorities could contact them to move the vehicle in case of an emergency due to security requirements. If they cannot contact them within 30 minutes, the authorities will move (tow the vehicle) to the nearest police station.

The parade formation and marching aimed to recreate the heroic spirit of the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising, culminating in the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign. With the motto "speed, boldness", with the spirit of one day equaling 20 years, the troops entering Saigon achieved complete victory at noon on April 30, 1975.

Previously, on April 18, the first parade rehearsal took place in the Le Duan street area. Politburo member, Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang and Politburo member, Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang attended, directed, encouraged, and presented gifts to the forces participating in the rehearsal.
