In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City will visit and give gifts to 147,112 meritorious people and policy beneficiaries with a total cost of more than 148.4 billion VND.

On the afternoon of July 17, at the socio -economic press conference, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Hang, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City, said: In the series of activities to celebrate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), the Department has advised the City People's Committee on a plan to organize care for policy beneficiaries and meritorious people with a total estimated budget of more than 148.4 billion VND. The total number of policy beneficiaries expected to receive gifts in 2025 is 147,112 people, an increase of 43,491 people (an increase of 141.9% compared to 2024).

The city ensures that all meritorious families and policy beneficiaries receive gifts. The gift spending level is equal to or higher than the spending level of the three regions (after merging with Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces). At the same time, the city expands the policy beneficiaries in accordance with the care work in the localities before arranging the provincial administrative units.

The highest gift level is 3,000,000 VND for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; the lowest level is 800,000 VND for: Children of resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals who are receiving monthly preferential allowances; people who have contributed to the revolution and are awarded the Resistance Medal and are receiving monthly preferential allowances; people who have contributed to the revolution and are receiving one-time allowances (awarded the Resistance Medal by the State)...

In addition, the city will organize 46 delegations to visit and present gifts to 5 Nursing Centers for War Invalids in the Northern provinces; Thi Nghe Nursing Center and 225 typical policy families.
