Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the commune and ward levels in Ho Chi Minh City

On September 28, in Binh Trung ward, Ho Chi Minh City, the first official session of the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Binh Trung ward, term 2025-2030, took place.

This is the first Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the commune, ward and special zone levels in Ho Chi Minh City after implementing the two-level local government model.

Attending the Congress were Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Huynh Dam, former President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; representatives of local leaders and more than 300 official delegates from the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of Binh Trung ward.

With the motto "Solidarity-Democracy-Innovation-Creativity", the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Binh Trung Ward evaluated the results of implementing the Resolution of the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the Ward, term 2024-2029, and built an Action Program for the new term...

The Congress clearly defined the goals, tasks and solutions of the Ward Front in taking the lead in gathering, mobilizing and promoting the resources and driving forces of the City and the country, the role of the people as masters, consolidating the great national unity bloc, enhancing social consensus; promoting the role of member organizations and people of all walks of life in the ward in participating in Party and government building; supervising and providing social criticism; fighting against corruption, waste, bureaucracy and negativity.

In the new term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Trung ward strives to diversify forms of gathering people and promote the strength of the great national unity bloc; promote patriotic emulation movements, widespread and effective campaigns; promote democracy, absorb people's initiatives and recommendations; represent and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of all classes of people; participate in building a strong Party, government and political system; encourage and promote the potential, strength and intelligence of the people, strengthen social consensus, and contribute to the development of Binh Trung ward in particular and Ho Chi Minh City in general.

The Congress also consulted to elect 68 members to participate in the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Trung ward for the new term and consulted to elect a Standing Committee of 5 members.

Speaking at the Congress, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Truong Thi Bich Hanh acknowledged and highly appreciated the preparation and successful organization of the first Congress of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of Binh Trung Ward - the first Congress of 168 communes, wards and special zones of Ho Chi Minh City after the period of restructuring the apparatus and operating the two-level local government model.

The leader of the City's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee emphasized that in the 2025-2030 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations will operate according to a new model with the requirement of strong streamlining, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness to successfully implement the goals of the new term to enhance the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, promote the strength of great national unity, continue to innovate the organization, content and methods of operation, join hands and be determined to successfully implement the goals of the Party's Resolution, Party Congresses at all levels and the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh suggested that in the new term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Trung Ward continue to thoroughly implement the policy of taking the people as the center, the target subject, and the driving force of the activities of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; taking residential areas as key areas to carry out tasks in all areas within the functions and tasks of its organization in carrying out the activities of the Front and socio-political organizations.

The operating motto of the Front and socio-political organizations of the ward should aim to contribute to enhancing the position and role of their organizations; contribute to implementing the goals and tasks of socio-economic development of the locality and practically care for the lives of union members, association members and people of all walks of life...

On the sidelines of the Congress, there was a program of offering incense and flowers to commemorate heroic martyrs; honoring and expressing gratitude to exemplary collectives and 40 typical advanced individuals in the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2020-2025; and presenting funds and means of livelihood to 30 households in difficult circumstances in Binh Trung ward.

Previously, on the afternoon of September 27, the Congress of socio-political organizations (Ward Union, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Women's Union, Veterans Association) of Binh Trung ward was held simultaneously, following the correct procedures, ensuring democracy./.
