Previously, on the afternoon of September 8, the interdisciplinary inspection team under Plan No. 492 coordinated with Thoi An Ward Police to inspect a warehouse on TA05 Street (Thoi An Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) and discovered many subjects decanting chemicals of unknown origin into bottles and plastic cans labeled OK, DN, FL...
At the scene, the authorities seized more than 500 cartons of toilet cleaner, laundry detergent, and fabric softener branded OK, DN, FL... thousands of bottles, labels, plastic caps, cartons printed with brand labels, and 6 tanks containing solutions for mixing.
The investigation determined that Hoang Huy Hung was the ringleader. Since July 2025, he had purchased chemicals, packaging, and labels online, then hired Nguyen Van Thua (born 2001, Can Tho ), Vo Anh Huy (born 2000, Ho Chi Minh City), Huynh Ngoc Sang (born 1999, Vinh Long) and Hoang Duc Anh (born 2004, Thanh Hoa) to participate in mixing, decanting, and packaging fake products to sell online at 50% cheaper than genuine products, and delivered via freight forwarders.
The results of the examination confirmed that all the products seized were not produced by the genuine companies. At the police station, the subjects admitted to the crime.
Ho Chi Minh City Police recommend that when buying cleaning and laundry products, people should choose reputable stores to avoid buying fake goods, and promptly report acts of manufacturing and trading fake goods to protect legitimate rights and public health.
