The match for tickets to V-League still takes place at Thong Nhat Stadium

(Dan Tri) - SHB Da Nang Club expressed their desire to move the play-off match for the 2025-2026 V-League from Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC) to Quy Nhon Stadium. However, VPF did not change its original decision.

The play-off match will take place between the 13th-placed team of V-League 2024-2025 SHB Da Nang and the second-placed team of the first division, Binh Phuoc , on June 27.

Previously, VPF announced that if the play-off match has the participation of a Southern team and a Central team, the ball will roll at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC).

However, after winning tickets to this match,SHB Da Nang expressed their wish to move the match to Quy Nhon Stadium.

The Han River football team believes that if the ball rolls at Thong Nhat Stadium, Binh Phuoc Club will benefit geographically, Binh Phuoc fans will have the opportunity to come to the stadium in large numbers to cheer for Cong Phuong and his teammates.

However, VPF did not change its original decision. Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company still held a press conference before the match and the play-off match in Ho Chi Minh City.

Interestingly, the two main players of the two teams Binh Phuoc and SHB Da Nang , Cong Phuong and goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung, are not strangers to Thong Nhat Stadium. Both of them used to play for Ho Chi Minh City Club before.
