On the first morning of the week (October 6), the stock market increased sharply, surprising many investors. VN-Index ended the morning session up 33.28 points, reaching 1,679.1 points. The entire HoSE floor was filled with green with 245 stocks increasing in price.
Cash flow poured heavily into large-cap stocks, especially securities codes. Many stocks such as SSI, VND, DNE, ORS sometimes hit the ceiling, while a series of other codes including VDS, CTS, PSI, VIG, EVS, TCI... also maintained an increase of over 5-6%.

Securities stocks are booming as the review period for upgrading is approaching. FTSE Russell will release its country classification report on October 7. Vietnam is on the watch list, aiming to be upgraded from frontier market to secondary emerging this year.
During a recent working trip of the Ministry of Finance , Finance Minister Nguyen Van Thang said that recently, the Vietnamese Government has focused on implementing solutions to upgrade the stock market.
According to the Minister, up to now, Vietnam has made efforts to meet the FTSE's upgrading criteria through strong reforms and policies such as synchronously issuing many mechanisms and policies that take effect immediately to facilitate foreign investment capital flows into the Vietnamese stock market.
Some securities companies assess that the opportunity for Vietnam to upgrade its market is approaching, opening up a huge wave of foreign capital and unprecedented investment opportunities. There are many reasons why investors cannot miss the "wave" of upgrading, including the expectation of explosive liquidity because foreign capital will pour heavily into Vietnam, opening up opportunities for vibrant trading.
In addition to the securities industry group, 30 codes in the VN30 basket also conquered green. In addition to SSI with the strongest increase, VRE (Vincom Retail) also increased by 6.26%, VPB (VPBank) increased by 4.92%, HPG ( Hoa Phat ) increased by 3.98%... The three codes VPB, HPG and SSI also had the strongest impact on the index, contributing to a positive increase in the market.
