Fireworks display ready to welcome the New Year of the Snake 2025

Low-altitude and high-altitude fireworks displays are installed at 15 locations in Ho Chi Minh City, ready to be launched to welcome the New Year of the Snake 2025.

To welcome the New Year of the Snake 2025, Ho Chi Minh City will set off fireworks at 15 locations, including 2 high-altitude locations and 13 low-altitude locations. On the afternoon of January 28 (December 29), all preparations for the fireworks display at the locations were completed, ready to serve people to welcome the New Year.

At the high-altitude fireworks display at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel (Thu Duc City), 1,500 high-altitude artillery pieces, 30 low-altitude artillery pieces and some pyrotechnics have been assembled. Up to now, the installation of artillery pieces into the battlefield has been basically completed.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Nhiem, Head of the Weapons Department, Ho Chi Minh City Command, said that it takes 2 days to prepare for high-altitude fireworks displays. Since yesterday (January 27), the unit has arranged the rig, barrel and wiring; today, they will deploy the ammunition and connect the ammunition to the artillery rig.

"The soldiers had to stay awake from 2am to march with their vehicles to the ammunition depot in Thu Duc City, then move to the fireworks display locations in the area," said Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Nhiem.

After receiving the ammunition in Thu Duc City, the militiamen moved to the fireworks display locations in the area to set up the fireworks. Every detail was meticulously done, ensuring that no mistakes would occur.

The process of connecting the cannons is carried out very carefully and meticulously. While assembling the cannons, soldiers are absolutely not allowed to smoke, use mobile phones, lighters or other objects that create sparks or electricity.

After the bullets are combined and connected to the artillery, the authorities will carefully cover the fireworks to ensure safety and avoid being affected by the weather.

From 0:00 to 0:15 tonight (the first day of the Lunar New Year), fireworks will be "unleashed" in the sky of Ho Chi Minh City. In addition to the Saigon River tunnel, there will also be a high-altitude display at Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial Temple (Cu Chi district).

13 low-altitude fireworks display locations include: Thao Dien urban area; Saigon River area, near Rach Chiec bridge; Ben Noc Memorial Temple (Thu Duc city); Rach Dia bridge area (Nha Be district); Dam Sen cultural park (district 11); Memorial area of ​​the 1968 Tet Mau Than General Offensive and Uprising (Binh Chanh district); Tay Bac Industrial Park (Cu Chi district); Rung Sac Martyrs Memorial Temple (Can Gio district); District 7 administrative center square; 38ha residential area park, Tan Thoi Nhat ward (district 12); Hoa Binh square (Go Vap district); Nga Ba Giong Martyrs Memorial Area (Hoc Mon district); Binh Dien market area (district 8).
