Deploying the model "Improving productivity and quality, ensuring food safety"

On the morning of September 30, at Thanh Son commune cultural house, the Food Safety Department held a conference to deploy the model "Improving productivity and quality, ensuring food safety" by 2025 in the province.

Attending the event were leaders of the Department of Health, the Food Safety Department, the People's Committee of Thanh Son commune, a number of relevant units and more than 30 agricultural production households in the commune.

At the Conference, delegates were given an overview of organic agriculture and a plan to deploy the model. Accordingly, the Food Safety Department selected Thanh Tung NB Organic Agricultural Cooperative as a pilot model, supported funding to deploy the model, and provided training on food safety knowledge in organic agricultural production for cooperative members and 30 agricultural production households in Thanh Son commune. The model aims to educate people about organic agricultural production processes and food safety knowledge - one of the bases for obtaining organic agricultural certification.

Delegates visited the growing area expected to be certified for organic agriculture of Thanh Tung NB Organic Agricultural Products Cooperative.

Delegates and representatives of agricultural households in the commune also participated in discussions on contents such as: current situation and orientation of organic agricultural production in Ninh Binh ; difficulties in the production process; measures to improve the quality of agricultural products; benefits when participating in the model...

The model is implemented to raise people's awareness of food safety, increase productivity, quality and value of agricultural products, contribute to limiting the risk of food contamination and protect public health.
