Provincial Center for Disease Control held a seminar to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day

Speaking at the seminar, Deputy Director of the Department of Health Hoang Nguyen Duy sent his congratulations and expressed his deep gratitude to the officials, civil servants, and reporters working in the health sector's communications. He acknowledged and highly appreciated the results that the team of officials, civil servants, and reporters of the Department of Health Education Communications - Provincial Center for Disease Control had achieved in the propaganda work. In particular, when an epidemic occurred, the communication team worked day and night, proactively and creatively in building content, organizing propaganda in a timely, flexible and effective manner.

These efforts have contributed significantly to raising public awareness, stabilizing social psychology, orienting public opinion, as well as supporting professional activities of the health sector in the area.

At the seminar, delegates also listened to Master Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan, Head of the Department of Health Education Communication - Provincial Center for Disease Control, present the outstanding results that the Department of Health Education Communication has achieved over the past 5 years. Accordingly, under the timely direction of the leaders of the Department of Health, the Board of Directors of the Center for Disease Control, along with the close coordination of professional units and the accompaniment of press agencies, the Department of Health Education Communication has effectively implemented many direct and indirect communication activities, especially in campaigns to prevent and control epidemics such as COVID-19, dengue fever, hand, foot and mouth disease, rabies, etc.

The department has created hundreds of media products such as video clips, infographics, billboards, posters, radio and television content, as well as regularly updated official medical information through social media channels. In particular, the coordination with local and central press has contributed to bringing medical information closer to the people, promptly orienting public opinion in emergency medical situations.
