Truong Bao Yen - Thuy Quynh "transforms" spectacularly with vibrant Latin mashup

Star Arena returns in the second semi-final night with a series of explosive performances, demonstrating the spectacular breakthroughs from the contestants of the three coaching teams. Not only is it a singing competition, this is also where the contestants truly shine and surpass themselves.

Continuing the thrilling journey, Star Arena entered the Semi-final night 2 with three carefully invested performances, creating a colorful " musical feast" from the duets of the three coaching teams. In particular, the highlight of this week is the innovation in the combination format, when contestants in the same team have the opportunity to coordinate more flexibly, bringing unexpected and diverse performances.

Notably, in the Semi-final night 2, the duo Truong Bao Yen and Truong Thuy Quynh from Doan Trang's team really made the whole studio "explode" with the mashup Toc hat - Bong may qua gan. The performance was considered a strong transformation of the two female singers when they left their forte to challenge themselves with vibrant, fast-paced and Latin-style music.

As soon as the music started, both of them “took over the stage” with their captivating energy, solid technique and confident demeanor. Bao Yen stood out with her bright, powerful voice, especially her fiery climaxes. Thuy Quynh was no slouch either with her solid performance, charisma and breakthrough choreography – clearly showing her stage personality.

Coach Sy Luan was surprised: “You two have completely transformed. This mashup is like a very interesting 'ball toss' back and forth, only if the last part is clearer, the performance will be perfect”. Coach Quoc Dai praised: “This is a daring experiment, but it was successful. You two gave it your all, in the true spirit of a professional performance”.

GK Van Khanh shared: “If in the previous round I was still confused about Bao Yen, now she has risen to the top with confidence and passion. Thuy Quynh is also very well-rounded, the two of them combined to create an explosive musical space”. GK Nguyen Vu surprised with a “face-turn”: “The two of you are no longer contestants but performing artists. I was drawn to every move, every look. Very attractive, very captivating”.

Coach Doan Trang choked up on the hot seat when witnessing the performance of the two contestants: "I was moved because the two of you were so brave to go beyond your comfort zone. Genres like Latin, vibrant and not easy to grasp. But today, you did it."

The impressive performances of Truong Bao Yen and Truong Thuy Quynh brought home the perfect score (20) for both contestants.
