The whole province currently has more than 6,000 ethnic minority party members, accounting for about 12% of the total number of party members. This is the core force, directly propagating and guiding people to change their production thinking, approach scientific advances, and gradually modernize farming methods. Thanks to that, many localities have grown strongly, the rural appearance has increasingly improved, and people's trust in the Party's leadership role has continued to be consolidated.

Thanks to these efforts, the poverty rate among ethnic minorities has decreased sharply, expected to be only about 2% by the end of 2025, with the average income per capita in ethnic minority communes increasing significantly.

Replicating the model, contributing to new rural construction
In Dinh Trang Thuong commune, Lam Dong province, where more than 60% of the population are ethnic minorities, young party members have been affirming their pioneering and exemplary role in putting the Party's guidelines and policies into practice, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and improving people's lives.
A typical example is party member K'Duc, Party Cell Secretary of Village 2, Dinh Trang Thuong Commune, who has become the "core" in implementing sustainable agricultural production models. In more than 5 years of working together, he has not only directly guided people in the garden but also coordinated with agricultural experts to disseminate knowledge on coffee tree care techniques.

From choosing disease-resistant varieties, using organic fertilizers to implementing water-saving irrigation systems, his detailed instructions have yielded tangible results.
Party member K'Duc meticulously guides people on how to check the health of plants, ensuring sustainable coffee growth, contributing to improving the quality of local agricultural products.
As a result, the productivity of coffee gardens in the village increased by 25-35%, helping people reduce production costs and increase profits.

“
“Previously, my coffee garden was often affected by pests and diseases, and had low productivity. However, thanks to the enthusiastic guidance of the village officials, from how to recognize diseases to using biological pesticides, now the harvest is higher, the care work is much less, and family life is much more stable.”

Not stopping at technical guidance, Mr. K'Duc also actively encouraged people to participate in training courses organized by the Farmers' Association and departments and branches.
Thanks to the dedicated guidance of party members, the average income per capita in the commune reached 48 million VND/year, a significant increase compared to previous years. This success comes not only from coffee trees but also from multi-cropping models such as growing clean vegetables and organic livestock, contributing to diversifying the household economy.
Along with Mr. K'Duc, party member K'Phang, village 3, Dinh Trang Thuong commune, is another example of a pioneering role.
Party member K'Phang enthusiastically guides people on how to select and cut healthy grafted branches, contributing to improving coffee gardens, improving bean quality and expanding the consumption market.
He not only teaches people how to choose healthy grafted branches but also shares his experience in pest control, helping households increase productivity and quality of coffee beans, thereby expanding the consumption market.
The efforts of party members like K'Duc and K'Phang have contributed to realizing the Resolution on the application of science and technology in agricultural production; adding motivation for people to change their thinking and working methods, boldly approach and master technology, towards a green, clean and sustainable agriculture.
Assessing the results achieved, Mr. Vu Thanh Cong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Dinh Trang Thuong Commune, affirmed: "Party members, especially ethnic minority party members, are the key factor in bringing the Party's policies to people's lives. Production models suitable to practical conditions have helped people change their thinking and rise up to take control of their lives."
From the beginning of the term to September 2025, Lam Dong province admitted 105 new ethnic minority party members, bringing the total number to a high level, while contributing to reducing the rate of poor ethnic minority households to below 4.5%.
In the whole province, more than 140 collectives and 350 individuals were awarded for their outstanding contributions to the socio-economic development of ethnic minority areas.
With the spirit of “Party members go first, the country follows,” grassroots party members in Lam Dong are joining hands with the people every day to write stories of positive change. Through that, the people, especially ethnic minorities, are gradually asserting their proactive role in economic development, contributing to the construction of new rural areas.
