Cuban media praises friendship with Vietnam

Cuban media has highlighted the significance and importance of the visit to Vietnam from September 30 to October 5 by President of the National Assembly of People's Power and President of the Council of State of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernandez.

Cuban media promotes inter-parliamentary cooperation mechanism, contributing to strengthening solidarity, special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

According to the visit program, the two sides shared experiences, recommendations and proposals to enhance the effectiveness of cooperation, especially in the fields of economics , finance, agriculture, renewable energy, biopharmaceuticals and many other areas of mutual interest; at the same time, they emphasized that parliament is a key factor in promoting and contributing to deepening bilateral relations.

Cuban media assessed that the bilateral meetings of Comrade Esteban Lazo Hernandez with General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh contributed to consolidating and strengthening the historical brotherly relationship between Cuba and Vietnam and have become a symbol of pure, loyal and close international solidarity.

Cuba and Vietnam established diplomatic relations in 1960. 2025 is the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Year, commemorating 65 years of the special relationship between the two brotherly peoples half a world apart.
