From now until July 25, Thanh Hoa mountainous area will have heavy rain, some places over 120mm

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - According to the Thanh Hoa Province Hydrometeorological Station, from now until July 27, areas in the province will have moderate rain, heavy rain, and locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Due to the influence of the tropical convergence zone with its axis passing through the Northern region connecting with storm No. 4 operating in the Northern East Sea, from July 24-25 in Thanh Hoa area there will be moderate rain, locally heavy rain, very heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Rainfall in mountainous areas is from 50 - 100mm, in some places over 120mm; in coastal plains it is from 40 - 70mm, in some places over 70mm. During thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Detailed forecast of rainfall in areas in the province from July 24 to 25 is as follows:

Northern and Northwestern mountainous areas (Muong Lat, Quan Son, Hoi Xuan, Thiet Ong, Cam Thuy, Kim Tan) total rainfall is 50 - 100mm, in some places over 120mm.

Western and Southwestern mountainous areas (Linh Son, Ngoc Lac, Thuong Xuan, Lam Son, Nhu Xuan, Nhu Thanh) 50 - 100mm, some places over 120mm.

Coastal plains (Vinh Loc, Yen Dinh, Ha Trung, Bim Son, Nga Son, Hau Loc, Hoang Hoa, Thieu Hoa, Trieu Son, Nong Cong, Nghi Son, Quang Chinh, Hac Thanh, Sam Son) 40 - 70mm, some places over 70mm.

On July 26 and 27, Thanh Hoa area will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and night.
