Previously, due to the impact of storm No. 11, from the night of October 6 to October 8, there was prolonged heavy rain, the water on the Thuong River rose and flowed rapidly, threatening the safety of the Bac Giang railway bridge project on the Hanoi - Dong Dang railway line.
To ensure construction safety, Ha Lang Railway Joint Stock Company has asked for permission from Vietnam Railway Corporation to stop trains running through Bac Giang from 6:00 a.m. on October 8 and requested the Department of Construction, Bac Ninh Provincial Police, Bac Giang Ward People's Committee, and Da Mai Ward People's Committee to prohibit people and vehicles from crossing the Bac Giang railway bridge from 8:30 a.m. on October 8.

Through on-site inspection at 6:30 a.m. on October 11, the water level from the bottom of the girder at Bac Giang railway bridge Km48+738 was 0.9 m and the water continued to decrease, the project ensured safety for railway and road traffic; the railway industry organized train operations from 7:36 p.m. on October 10.
Accordingly, Ha Lang Railway Joint Stock Company has requested the authorities to allow people and road vehicles to continue to circulate through the Bac Giang railway bridge from 9:30 a.m. on October 11.
