The Department has surveyed and selected a number of manufacturing and trading enterprises that are capable of storing and circulating a number of essential goods in warehouses to promptly supply people when natural disasters occur.
The quantity of goods and food stored includes: 72,340 boxes of instant noodles, 408 tons of rice, 1,520 boxes of processed foods, 10,350 boxes of bottled water, 470,000 liters of gasoline, 506,000 liters of diesel oil, 1,000 roofing sheets, and 1,000 sheets of other construction materials.

The Department of Industry and Trade is the focal agency, responsible for negotiating and coordinating with relevant agencies to mobilize vehicles and human resources to transport relief goods when natural disasters occur under the direction of the Provincial Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Search and Rescue; coordinate with the People's Committees of communes, wards and relevant units in supplying goods to meet the urgent needs of the people; develop transportation plans; transportation forces; units receiving goods, delivering directly to localities.
Regarding market management, the Provincial Market Management Department will direct its market management teams to grasp the natural disaster situation and essential goods reserves in each area under their management; strengthen market inspection and control, and prevent acts of taking advantage of storms and floods to speculate, hoard goods, and arbitrarily raise prices of essential goods.
In case gas stations are not flooded but have power outages, the units require store owners to open the doors, use backup generators, use hand pumps or pour into available tanks or bottles... to supply to people, in order to stabilize the market and stabilize people's daily lives.
