Nepal will play two matches in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers against Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City. The South Asian team has two pillars with international experience, including goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong and striker Anjan Bista.
Goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong has played 107 matches for Nepal, while striker Anjan Bista has scored 13 goals in 70 matches for the national team. Anjan Bista, 27, has played for Nepal at all levels and won the title of Best Young Player of Nepal in 2016. The striker, born in 1998, has also played for many clubs in Nepal, India, Qatar, Bangladesh and Spain.

According to the plan, representatives of the Nepal team will have a technical meeting at 3 p.m. on October 8. After that, head coach Matt Ross and player Kiran Kumar Limbu will attend a pre-match press conference at Go Dau Stadium. The Nepal team will also have an hour of practice on the field on the same day.
The first leg match between Vietnam and Nepal will take place at 7:30 p.m. on October 9 and the rematch between the two sides will be held at Thong Nhat Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on October 14.
After two consecutive losses, Nepal is currently at the bottom of Group F. Meanwhile, Vietnam is second in the group with 3 points, 3 points behind Malaysia. The team that finishes first in the group will win a ticket to the 2027 Asian Cup finals in Saudi Arabia.
