On October 8, a working delegation of the People's Committee of Nghe An province led by Mr. Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the site of dikes, embankments, irrigation dams and the work to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 10.

The working delegation included representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Irrigation Sub-Department, the Construction Management Department, and the Project Management Board of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Nghe An.

Storm No. 10 caused a lot of damage to dikes, embankments, and irrigation dams in Nghe An province, including works in many communes and wards: Vinh Loc, Cua Lo, Trung Loc, Quynh Phu, Tan Ky and Dai Dong.

The working delegation of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee inspected the Hoa Thai and Phuc Tho dykes in Vinh Loc Ward; the sea embankment in Binh Minh Square and Lan Chau Island in Cua Lo Ward; the breakwater in Trung Loc Commune; the sea dyke in Minh Thanh Village in Quynh Phu Commune; the landslide area in Block 1, Tan Ky Commune and Thong Nhat Dam in Dai Dong Commune.

The working delegation listened to leaders of communes and wards report specifically on the damage caused by storm No. 10, especially damage to constructions; listened to reports on plans to overcome the damage and recommendations and proposals of communes and wards; at the same time, had opinions and directions to complete the damage plans.

Comrade Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed communes, wards and departments, branches and functional units to review and fully count the damages; consider solutions to overcome the damages; assign the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Nghe An to synthesize, report and propose appropriate and effective solutions.
